PAWS encourages everyone to browse through the PAWS Website - http://paws.org.ph and to read through the PAWS FAQs (found here in this website and in http://www.paws.org.ph/faqs.html) for answers to queries before calling, sending an email or posting in the PAWS Facebook. You'll save time and you'll get the answer with less effort and without the wait.
If your queries are not on the FAQs list or if there's any information you would like us to know, contact the PAWS office at telephone number 475-1688 during office hours. If the telephone is busy (due to the volume of calls we receive) or it remains unanswered (bathroom breaks or entertaining a shelter visitor), you may leave your landline numbers and the nature of why you want to get in touch with us when the answering machine picks up, or email us at TO: [email protected] CC: [email protected]
We also try to respond to emails in a timely manner (at least within 48 hours) but due to the demands of the PAWS advocacy as well as other responsibilities, it may not be as soon as warranted. If you have not received a reply within 48 hours, kindly resend your email - we may have overlooked your email among the 30+ reports we receive daily or it may have gone into the spam folder. You may want to volunteer for PAWS to improve the situation.
Please remember PAWS is a volunteer-based organization with limited resources. More often than not, there are only a few people having to attend meetings and hearings, check and respond to emails, take calls, man the shelter, assign and monitor activities of volunteers among other responsibilities which may or may not be related to the shelter.
This is why we put up the guidelines (in the FAQ section of the website). Those who read the FAQs help us help the animals. The guidelines and FAQs were put up so that people can BE PROACTIVE and do things at their own level, without waiting for PAWS to scramble for available volunteers to answer the email or Facebook comment or go out on a rescue.
IMPORTANT
We need ordinary people, volunteers like yourself, to help us. Be proactive. Do more than report in a stray or animal for rescue. Do more than email/post "please check this", "please take action", "please rescue this dog/cat". Foster the animal you are reporting about. Provide concrete and complete information when you contact us: name/address (of offenders of animal cruelty or neglect), specific address and barangay contact info (of dog/cat in need of help). Submit your witness affidavit. Help us do the leg work. By doing that, you just rescued an animal and helped us rescue more.

If you share the same views, we hope that you will now be enlightened about what PAWS is and what PAWS does to help the animals, and we hope that YOU can help us help the animals..
There is no other PAWS branch. PAWS does not have offices in the province either. We do coordinate with other animal welfare organizations.
** In cases or suspicions of cruelty, neglect or animals in possible need of rescue:
PAWS urges concerned citizens/animal lovers to be the proactive partners in promoting animal welfare by providing the necessary information, initiative to enlighten, intervene and/or take action and willing to come forward as witnesses in cases of cruelty, abuse, neglect and imminent danger.
We always advise our volunteers and concerned citizens alike to thoroughly assess the situation whenever a suspected case of animal cruelty or neglect is apparent. We also strongly encourage people to exert an effort in communicating with pet owners, or ask help from neighbors or local authorities who might be able to assist in these types of events.
If we act responsibly towards our pets, we are already doing our share in helping PAWS prevent animal cruelty by being a good example to our friends and neighbors.

The PAWS shelter (aka PARC) is full. We are very much willing to offer VET ASSISTANCE to those who report stray or rescue emergencies to us, but unfortunately, NOT FOR ADMISSION. We ask all those who are reporting stray or rescue emergencies to foster (temporarily keep) the rescued animal until space opens up at the shelter.
We hope concerned citizens understand that PARC has strict quarantine protocols and cannot afford to overcrowd the shelter because this compromises the health, general welfare and quality of care given to the existing shelter animals, given the limited resources and manpower of PAWS as an non-government organization without funding from the govt and who relies on donations to keep the shelter running.
